Some ways to manage stress during examination period:Set a pace - Work at a speed those cruses you through the task but does not swallow you up. You have to work on it from the very beginning of the session and increase your capabilities gradually.
Take regular breaks - Each individual has a concentration span. Identify that and then take short breaks accordingly. This will allow your mind and body to relax.
Enjoy whatever free time you get - During every break you need to actually take your mind away from the task. Engage yourself in what you enjoy the most. Be creative, listen to music, go for a stroll talk to friends or be with family.
Exercise a bit - Take time out for some light exercise or yoga. Move outdoors. This will rejuvenate you. Fresh air does wonders. This is very useful especially if your study hours are long and tedious.
Take good care of yourself - Sleep well and eat well. Neglecting yourself during exams is no good. Taking care of yourself boost your confidence and keeps unwarranted anxiety at bay.
Remain focused - Reminding yourself of your goal will keep you focused. It usually happens that when you start working on a subject, too many topics pop up. They might be important otherwise but not pertaining to the current situations. Getting into all these new vistas but they certainly enhance pressure.
Don’t keep your expectations very high - The moment you do that, stress is gone. When you tell yourself that it is ok even if you don’t top the class, you will feel relaxed. Now, you can start working towards what best can be done.
Be Positive – Don’t let negative thoughts put you down. Keep working as per your timetable and pat your back for every little achievement during preparation.
Share what you feel - Parents, peer, teachers they can be good supports and guides. They will understand what you are going through. Speak to them, you will feel better.
Do all this; don’t let that pressure lid snap shut on you. You are anytime more precious to your family than your exams.
Good luck for the upcoming examination...and take care of yourself!
